Two culturally different characters from old Western movies are reimagined here: as if they were contemporary gay hipsters meeting for the first time  ̶  with a bemused Zorro gazing at the Lone Ranger across a chasm of misunderstanding. The picture reminds us that connecting meaningfully across cultural barriers can be hard … even for super heroes. The style is contemporary, with strong drawing and areas of flat colour, fusing realism and a Pop Art spirit.
